Mixed-Media Collage
My surrealist mixed-media images are as much a surprise to me as they are to any viewer. Working largely in the method of Automatism, I’ve come to think of them as a visual form of active imagination, like wakeful dreamscapes. They come from an unconscious place within me that I’ve been exploring for decades.
Photography
Photography is an artistic outlet that allows me to compose the moment. Poignantly said by Dorothea Lange, “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.“ I enjoy using photography as a way to stop and see the world, frame by frame, adding the filter of my unique perspective and sensibility to the eternal now.
The Seeker’s Notebook
I began journaling in 2011 both as a creative outlet and as a practice of documenting that which I am seeking: essentially, my Self. Being a Seeker is an integral aspect of who I am and is what fuels my interest in art, travel, writing, as well as psycho-spiritual exploration. The Seeker’s Notebook is an expression of my ongoing journey as an explorer of both my inner dimensions and the outer world.
